A solid mounting—using stabilizers or outriggers as designed, on ground capable of bearing the load—keeps the gun steady, preserves aiming accuracy, and reduces the risk of accidents during operation. Before starting water flow, verify that stabilizers are locked, the mounting surface is appropriate, and the area around the deck gun is clear. Wearing the proper PPE is essential, but the key safeguard is a secure, stable mounting on firm ground.
